Warrington Town were founded in 1949 and have spent the bulk of their history in the English league system, moving between divisions as fortunes shifted before settling into their modern identity.

Cantilever Park has been the club's home for generations, and its matchdays remain the centre of the support — the terraces, the songs and the local rivalries that give the fixture list its weight.
